A voluntary certificate is a document certifying the
conformance of products and services to the requirements of standards or other
regulatory documents of the applicant’s choice, as well as the applicant’s
special requirements
A voluntary conformity assessment is performed at the
applicant’s initiative. Voluntary conformity assessment may not substitute for
a mandatory assessment
A voluntary certificate is printed on a pink form.
If your products are
not included in the following lists:
The List of products and services subject to mandatory
certification and the List of products for which conformity may be assessed by
a declaration of conformity approved by Order N 1117 of the Government of the
Republic of Kazakhstan of October 26, 2010.
The unified list of products subject to mandatory
conformity assessment within the Customs Union and issue of standard documents
approved by Decision No. 319 of the Customs Union Commission of June 18, 2010.
Lists of products to which technical regulations of
the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) Customs Union and national technical
regulations of the Republic
of Kazakhstan apply, they
may undergo a voluntary certification procedure.
The same
documents as for mandatory certification must be presented when applying to a
conformity assessment agency to obtain a voluntary certificate, but in this
case, the applicant determines the indicators to be assessed.
An Exemption Letter is an alternative to a Voluntary
Certificate.
The duration and cost of services to issue Voluntary
Certificates of Conformity depend on the kind/type of goods, the presence of
other certificates, technical documentation (company standards, specifications)
for the products, specific features of laboratory tests, certificate validity
periods and other factors.
If all necessary documents are provided, the time
required to issue a voluntary certificate of conformity is from 2 to 30 days.
